LOST OR DAMAGED SHIPMENTS

Title and possession of all goods shipped passes to the customer upon receipt by the carrier. The customer must file a claim for lost or damaged merchandise with the carrier. Reliable Caps will provide any necessary assistance.

RETURNS

Returns must have a return authorization approval code to insure proper disposition when received by the plant. Call our Sales/Service Department to obtain approval. Returns without an authorization code may be refused and any charges incurred for an unauthorized return may be billed back to our customer. Credit for an unauthorized return will be denied.

The restocking charge on returned conforming product that Reliable Caps keeps in inventory on a daily basis will be a minimum of 10% of the invoice amount. No conforming product will be accepted that the customer has opened. Normally, returns will not be accepted for conforming merchandise that is a non-inventory item at Reliable Caps.

NON-CONFORMING PRODUCT

Any non-conforming product should be reported to us immediately. If following inspection by us, it is our opinion that the closures and/or parts are in fact non-conforming, they will be replaced or credited to your account without charge.

The following shipping details primarily relate to non-eCommerce transactions:

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Freight is shipped F.O.B. Reliable Caps’ dock and is shipped Freight Collect.

PREPAID AND ADD TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

Prepaid and add terms are accepted with the following surcharges added to the freight costs:

COLLECT & 3rd PARTY COMMON PARCEL CARRIER – SURCHARGE 

When freight charges are being billed collect or to a 3rd party for shipments via common parcel carrier (UPS, Federal Express, etc.), the surcharge is $15.00

PALLETIZED TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

A $9.50 per pallet charge will be applied to all palletized shipments for handling and the cost of the pallet. Each pallet will hold up to 35 cases.

EXPEDITED TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

A $50.00 expedite fee will be applied to any order received after Noon, Central Time, when the shipment must go out that same day.

EXPORT DOCUMENTS PREPARATION FEE 

A $50.00 fee will be applied to any order that requires export documentation to go with the shipment.

SHIPPING DATES 

The acknowledged shipping date is the week in which the order will be available to ship. That means the order will ship on any given day during that week. The acknowledgement date is typically a Friday except for stock orders. Reliable Caps prides itself in meeting our scheduled ship dates. When possible, partial/early shipments will be honored with proper notification.

FREIGHT CLASSIFICATION

The NMFC Item #156600 is assigned to plastic caps. The sub number depends on the actual density of each case. We have an FAK 70 from Sub 9 to Sub 5, which could be a great benefit to you to save money on freight charges. Call our Sales/Service Department to get a quote on the freight cost to compare to your discounts. We will give you an all-inclusive cost for freight charges.

C.O.D. SHIPMENTS

Any order which is shipped C.O.D. will have all applicable freight and C.O.D. charges added to the cost of the order.
