Ralph Laible forms Reliable Products in the basement of his home in Omaha, Nebraska

Two sons, Mahlon and Rodney Laible, work for the family company as teens.

Late 1960s

Reliable Products moves into a building in North Omaha and eventually focuses more on injection molding work.

1972

Reliable Products buys a closure manufacturer called Calcaps.

1974

Brothers Mahlon and Rodney Laible finish school and take over the family business.

The company changes names from Reliable Products to Reliable Plastic Products.

The company moves into a 9,000 square foot manufacturing facility in North Omaha

Reliable Plastic Products is primarily an injection molding shop making various products for diverse industries.

Late 1970s-early 1990s

Over time, Mahlon Laible focuses primarily on the plastic closures side of the business whereas Mahlon's brother Rodney focuses on the custom molding and tool making side of the business.

Eventually, the brothers mutually decide to carve out their respective portions of the company. Mahlon calls his new business Reliable Cap and Closures.

1994-1995

Reliable Cap and Closures relocates the entire operations from Omaha, Nebraska, to a 93,000 square foot facility on 10 acres in Olathe, Kansas (our current location). Several of our first Olathe employees are still with us today.

2002

Reliable Cap and Closures merges with Caps and Packaging Services to form Reliable Caps, LLC. The merger expands the product lines to include spice caps and sport water bottle closures.
